By accessing and using Stand for Hemp ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
Purpose of the Platform
Stand for Hemp is a grassroots advocacy platform designed to help Americans contact their elected representatives about hemp-related legislation. We provide tools to facilitate civic engagement and democratic participation.
User Conduct
When using the Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when contacting representatives
- Use the Platform for lawful advocacy purposes only
- Not abuse, harass, threaten, or intimidate others
- Not send spam or automated messages through our tools
- Not attempt to interfere with the Platform's operation or security
- Respect the rights of others and act in good faith
Advocacy Messages
When you send messages to representatives through the Platform:
- You are responsible for the content of your messages
- We provide suggested language, but you can customize messages as you see fit
- Your messages will be sent to the representatives you select
- We do not guarantee that representatives will read or respond to your messages
No Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That messages will reach their intended recipients
- Any specific outcomes from using the Platform
- The accuracy or completeness of representative contact information
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stand for Hemp and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or use of the Platform
- Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Platform
- Actions taken by representatives or third parties
Intellectual Property
The Platform's content, design, logos, and materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. However, we encourage you to share links to the Platform to spread awareness.
Third-Party Services
The Platform may use third-party services (such as representative lookup APIs). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Platform for any user who violates these terms or engages in abusive behavior.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Open Source
Stand for Hemp is an open-source project. The code is available for review, modification, and distribution under the terms of its open-source license. See our GitHub repository for details.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be governed by the laws of the United States.
